Special Thanks

morning reality: xxx lbs
valentine's day goal: xxx lbs

Wow, I'd like to give a shoutout to my stalkers in Texas. Thank you! You brought a special tear to my eye this morning. So nice to know there is support out there!

And I'd also like to thank the people who raised funds with me during the month of December for Mica's IMHA Research Fund. I don't have the total amount raised, but I know that those of you who mentioned this blog, helped raise an additional $130. That's amazing stuff. Thank you. I hope if you came to read for that special reason, you found something that made you come back once in a while.

Thank you to those who donated, many in honor or in memory of their animal companions:

OK so I'm going to sneak this in here and hope that maybe my blogger friend Deb who is on hiatus won't notice enough to comment. *hint hint*

I wonder if I am the only person in the world who is just not yet enthralled with Twilight? GASP, I know. Truth is, um, I'm 200 pages into the 500 page tome, and I just have to say it might be getting good. Am I just a jaded Anne Rice fan? I don't know. Of course, Edward is beyond appealing (come on, he's meant to be) and the fact that he actually cares about Bella is endearing. And nice twist on it being a myth about the sunlight or nice copout to explain how he can be around in sunlight. But, beyond that....I'm not sure I see what the hubbub is about. Of course...I have 300 pages to go. I would LOVE to eat my words in a few days!

And today is the day I picked to come back to the blog world...

I think when you get closer to the end of the book - the BIG action scene - it may make you anxious to pick up the next one to see what happens next. That's the way it was for me. I enjoyed the read of the first, but until it was almost over I was just like "yeah, good book". But once it was done, I was like "MUST.GET.TO.BARNES.&.NOBLE".
But that's just me... :)

Happy to be back and read you though - for sure!!!
Morning weigh in (bite my ass) 173.5
So that means I put 1 pound back on over this 2 week hiatus I have been on. Which I dont think is all that bad considering all the food and stuff that gets consumed during the bleepin holidays.
So today...back to work on the challenge. It's gettin down to the wire.

HUGS!!

My friend E (who lost her dog from cancer - do you mind if she emails you?) feels the same way. I haven't started reading them yet. But she thought it wasn't that special, and kind've ridiculous. Me being me, I probably would like them if I ever started reading. We'll see!

Congrats on the AWESOME fund raising job!!! What an awesome cause.

Deb best get her butt back soon. We gotta get this Spring Training thing back on track! I forgot to weigh this morning, but I will tonight. I don't think it's gonna be good. Ha! Oh well. I'm gonna keep reporting to you every Monday until I get it in my thick head that I'm supposed to be LOSING weight not gaining!

Happy Monday!

first, brevity is not my strong suit, but my pack & i WISH to BOL (bark our loud) FUR DONNA, (in DOGspeak) FUR her big HEART & CHARITY on behalf of her beloved Angel Asena's mate, Angel Mica-the wonderpup. Donna's selfless act of kindness not only raised DOLLARS FUR IMHA RESEARCH, it raised HOPE. it touched others, then brought about a willingness to GIVE, when PAWhaps some might not have otherwise. it was no gimmick, and people responded to it, very PAWsitively. we'll FURever be indebted to this special pair we call friends. THANK YOU DONNA & ASENA alike.

on another special note, i believe your VD goal is not only attainable, it's sensible. rash & crash 'diets' don't ever work well. we like your attitude & approach to this too. hence, i'll be joining your effort & in a competitive bent, will try to not only match your goal but race it! PAWhaps as we race FUR a cure, WHILE numbers on one scale go up... those on the other scale will go down. it'd be a trule WIN-WIN!

see, mate, you've raised more than dollars, hope & spirits love. especially to get THAT kind of reaction from this one! woo-hoo!

KEEP up the good work. we'll FURever be tuning in. you have a real gift, with words..

with LOVE & LUCK,
Mel, Mirra & Angel Mica-the wonderpup

ok, maybe you just haven't gotten far enough into it yet - but I LOVED the twilight books. Although, out of the 4, the first is my least favorite. I feel that they just get better and better as you go along. But, I'm a Jacob fan and he's a major part of books 2, 3 & 4 - so maybe thats why.

you're like butter to me

Sagittarius is born to travel the world and move upwards and outwards. Naturally gregarious, they love the idea of meeting different people and understanding foreign cultures. There is also a desire to broaden the mind too, with the possibility of many Sagittarians being lifelong students. Their outlook is generally optimistic and there is a distinct lack of concern over the smaller, practical details. A great sense of humor and a lack of petty mindedness are Sagittarian qualities too. Sagittarius is open -- open-minded, open-hearted and generous, up to a point. They like to get value and will not be quite so impulsive with their cash but they do have a natural ability to get on with people from many varied walks of life. They have an innate sense of wanting to help others and give them a hand up the ladder and can be wonderful and exciting companions. Expect an honest answer when you ask a question and maybe some long philosophic discussions into the night. Jovial, optimistic, versatile, open-minded, philosophical, sincere, frank, visionary.
