Losing Weight; Finding Men

Repetitive Start Syndrome

If there's something I appear to have done well for over a year, it is maintain. My unplanned hiatus from the gym since August 7 yielded no loss, and of greater interest to me: no gain.

I have
been worrying over my knee for what feels like forever. I can't remember when I didn't worry about my knee. Forcing myself to look back, when Mr Listener worked out with me and went on and on about how he had to be careful with his knees, I remember thinking, "I'm glad I don't have to worry about that." Ha.

I don't know if it is a good thing or a bad thing, but before the knee felt like it was caught on a hinge and wouldn't crack. Now, it feels caught on a hinge but does crack. Interesting. It is either getting better or getting worse. Either way, there's not much I can do about it. What's odd to me is that it is more likely to get "hinged up" when I'm just walking, not exercising.

This is all a sign of approaching the big 4-0 I'm sure. If ever there was a warning sign to those who are younger and in need of losing weight, here it is. It just gets harder the older you get. When I was turning 35, I had this incredible goal for when I turned 38. And here I am, well past 38 and still the goal is yet to be achieved.

Well, all we can do (you, me, and the Rockys of the world), is keep getting up, keep trying, and keep moving forward.

I may have some dates lining up for the weekend. That's right guys, just get in line. I'll believe it when I see them.

NOTE: I spent the first half of the workout afraid the pain in my knee would come on and take me out of play. I spent the second half of the workout wondering if I would be able to get up tomorrow morning. If you're seeing this, it means I did. But it may have involved ibuprofen, especially due to the fact that T.o.M. is here.

God, I'm the same way. I switched jobs in December (I work out at lunch and had gotten into a pattern)... and then accidentally took 8 months off from the gym.

Oops.

But I'm finally back in there and it feels oh so good.

i was going to the gym pretty regularly (5 out of 7 days a week). Then I pulled a muscle, and I haven't made it back since. It has been almost 2 weeks. The muscle is better, but now I am back at school and trying to find the time. Plus, I pulled another muscle.. this time in my leg & the stairs at school are making it worse. I'm hoping to get back in there when this leg muscle will stop hurting so darn bad.

you're like butter to me

Just a Lovable Party Girl
Sagittarius is born to travel the world and move upwards and outwards. Naturally gregarious, they love the idea of meeting different people and understanding foreign cultures. There is also a desire to broaden the mind too, with the possibility of many Sagittarians being lifelong students. Their outlook is generally optimistic and there is a distinct lack of concern over the smaller, practical details. A great sense of humor and a lack of petty mindedness are Sagittarian qualities too. Sagittarius is open -- open-minded, open-hearted and generous, up to a point. They like to get value and will not be quite so impulsive with their cash but they do have a natural ability to get on with people from many varied walks of life. They have an innate sense of wanting to help others and give them a hand up the ladder and can be wonderful and exciting companions. Expect an honest answer when you ask a question and maybe some long philosophic discussions into the night. Jovial, optimistic, versatile, open-minded, philosophical, sincere, frank, visionary.
